Bringing Up Little Girls!
Ok, this day has no pics to go along with the post, but it was so funny, I had to share. Today, our girls learned being a girly girl isn't all it's cracked up to be. They much prefer to throw a baseball, go fishing with Grandpa, play tag and wrestle! LOL
They have been begging me to purchase them fake nails. They found them in the beauty section (at Wal-mart), in their size and haven't let it go for two months. So, I thought about it and finally purchased them a pack for Halloween. They are both dressing up pretty and I thought they might like the nails to go along with their costumes.
With their excitement at seeing them and even more begging (I'm such a push over.) we put them on tonight. At 4 pm they went on. At exactly 5:30 pm, they came off! :D LOL
You should have seen them eat their dinner and when Alex asked for, "Little help here!?!?!" after using the bathroom...I about died laughing. They asked how in the world women wear these things...they are so pretty, but how do they get anything done???
And there you have it. The appeal and glamour of fake nails shot down in record time and my old Nan's motto is even more true than ever...you learn something new everyday.
May all their lessons be this easy to learn. (and this much fun for Adam and I to watch!)

I had to give up my nails also. So don't feel bad girls. (Although, they were helpful in cutting worms for fishing.)
I never liked fake nails either! They seriously get in the way of everything. It's good to find these things out early in life so you can get busy with the important stuff. :-)
Love you girls!

Girls will be girls.... At least the curiosity is out of the way, and like Aunt Andrea said, now they can get on with the more important things in life.... Aunt Merredith
