Sam's Band/Chorus Recital

On Wednesday, Sam had her band/chorus recital.  Adam had the day off and got to see her perform in the afternoon at school.  She did a great job, they all did! :D

Sam was sporting a black eye from a run in with a friend on the playground earlier in the week.  So, we applied lots of purple eye shadow and she was just beautiful.  Here are pics of her ready for her evening performance.  She was wonderful!

Shelly-
I miss your posts (and pictures) about food and recipes! They always looked absolutely delicious & made me so hungry. I don't know why I never commented, but I always read. :)

Oh my goodness Sam looks so grown up! She's beautiful, as always, and I love her black dress. What great pictures of Adam and her and how wonderful that he got to see her recital.

That must have been some schoolyard crash! Great job with the makeup!

Megan, thank you for always reading my craziness! :p Trust me when I say I still love food! LOL
Yesterday alone I made homemade cornbread (as a side with dinner; from scratch chocolate cake with frosting (for dessert) and a batch of vanilla/almond biscotti (to have with my special tea and talk time with the girls at night before bed). :D
There how's that for making you hungry??? Some night we will have to get together and make a meal together. That would be fun no matter what kind of mess we ended up making! :D
Perhaps I'll start up another blog...who knows when the urge will strike? LOL Thanks Meghan.

Andrea, you have no idea how fast these kids are growing up! It's shocking really. Last week I came out in the kitchen to find Sam making eggs. She walks over to give me a hug and I realize I'm staring at her nose. She is officially taller than I am! :O AND SHE IS COOKING HERSELF BREAKFAST!!!! Shockingly grown up. I'm so proud! :D
It was a horrible black eye and the run it damaged her glasses beyond repair. We just got her replacement frames yesterday.
Something to look forward to huh!?!?! :p
