Trick or Treating

Halloween night, Adam met Grandpa and Grandma to take Sam and Alex trick or treating at the mall. (I was home sleeping off the pain killers from having an impacted tooth removed.)

After the mall, Adam took the girls around the neighborhood until they complained they couldn't walk any further! LOL :D They loved this Halloween the absolute best! Daddy is so much fun. (And they definitely ended up with more candy than if they had gone with me!)

Sam was Violet and Alex was Dash from the Incredibles! :D

Pumpkin Carving

The pumpkin carving began with drawing on faces.

Then the crazies came out! :D

I helped Alex get the top of her first pumpkin.

The inside was, yes, that's right...messy! :D

Sam started in on the top of her first pumkin.

We were shocked at how many seeds were in these little guys!

They scooped them out and then I cleaned them to put in the oven.

Ok...scooped, played with...same thing. :D

I rinsed the seeds.

Amazingly...we got two pans of seeds our of those four little pumpkins! :O

I kept checking on them...didn't want them to burn.

Sam was the first to give them a try. We all love pumpkin seeds!
I turned around to find Alex still carving...she ended up making one of her pumpkins have a huge bat! "Put the knife down Alex, or there will be no pumpkin left to put a candle in!" :D LOL

I stood out of the room so we could see them lit up.

Now for the close ups! :) Alex with hers.

Sam with hers!

This was a lot of fun! :)

Pumpkin Farm

Well, right after school the girls and I set out for our local Pumkin Farm. :)

Inside this castle the girls found their pumpkins and the haunted house.

We went inside to pay for the pumpkins we chose.
Then it was off to play in the corn field and see the animals.:)

Sam was the first one to find a hole in the fence. Soon to be followed by Alex! :D These girls love animals!

They found anything they could to try and feed the goats. Which turned into petting them until other kids came over to try too!

On our way out, I pulled over to have the girls take a pic with the straw people that greeted us on the way in! :) A fun time was had by all.

First Snow Fall of 2006

Well, the north country is starting winter earlier than expected this year. :)
We opened the front door...and it was just coming down!

A half an hour later we checked again because the first snow doesn't usually take...but it was still falling.

I just looked outside again...and it's still coming an hour later. Wow...this is going to be some kind of long winter! :O
