Samantha's Success Board Assembly

When I arrived at the school today for Sam's Success Board Assembly, I spotted this on the ground in front of me. :-D That's our girl!

Sam sat there really stiff waiting for the Assembly to start. :-D She's so cute.

I ran up to grab a pic of her...turned out fuzzy, but since it's the only one she is smiling in...I had to include it. :-D (She's only smiling...because I embarrassed her by running up to take the pic. LOL I love being a mom!)

Ok...it started with Mrs. Scott leading us all in the pledge. Then she started calling names to come up for their award.

Samantha was waiting for me to catch up, first words out of her mouth..."Are we going to the park today?" :-D Yup...she's a kid. The award means nothing...she just wants to know if she can go play. LOL

Here are all the fourth grade winners. Sam is in the front and her friend Michaela is in the back row. They should all be in this weeks paper. :-)

An Afternoon at Turtle Park

This afternoon, the girls came home from school begging to go to Turtle Park. (Springs Park...but when they put in the new equipment, Sam and Alex thought it looked like a turtle. Thus....it shall forever be called Turtle Park! :-D) I decided this was a good day to bring the camera. I was right! They had great fun and I loved watching them and snapping pics. :-)

Sam got Alex started and then got on her own swing. She is such a great big sister!

Alex and Sam kept running back and forth for drinks every once in a while. Play can really take it out of you! :-)

Sam and Alex running back to play after getting a few sips of their water.

Both girls came running up to the car for money when they heard the ice cream truck! Oh...yes, Summer is almost here! :-D

Sam and Alex ended up with an ice cream cone and a snow cone. :-D It was a perfect Spring afternoon!

Samantha's Gymnastics Show

Samantha's Gymnastics Show was great too! She did awesome and her balance beam routine was flawless this year.

Samantha is stretching for her floor routine.

Samantha is coming off the balance beam with a one handed cartwheel.

Samantha was springing over the vault. She did this twice with her legs in a perfect split. It was amazing to watch and impossible to catch with the camera.

Samantha's show ended with them doing head stands! She was awesome and we were very proud. :-) The thing I learned the most after this year...is that we are getting a new video camera for their next shows!

Alexandra's Gymnastic Show

On Monday afternoon, Alex had her gymnastics show. She did great. Here are some of the pics I took.

Mr. A is the coach. He is moving all the children into position. Alex is on the end she will be the last to go.

All the children started with a floor routine.

Here is Alex on the balance beam.
This one is a bit fuzzy, but you can see that she is moving her leg. She did really good.

Here is Alex on her last vault. She made it over all on her own. She was awsome and we were very proud! :-)

Callie at Play

I turned around from doing the breakfast dishes this morning and this is where I found Callie! :-O I couldn't believe she stayed there when I went to grab the camera...but this is her new fav spot to sit when I'm in the kitchen. She can see everything I'm doing. LOL

When she realized that I was leaving the kitchen she started to make her way back down. Taking a quick minute to scratch at the corner of the door. :-D She made her way back down to the counter and the floor. She's a great climber!

While shopping in Potsdam, on Saturday, we bought callie a homemade catnip toy mouse! :-D LOL She went crazy for it!

Adam came out to see what we were all laughing at. He eventually took the camera from Sam and took some close ups.

Adam took the best pic of the afternoon! :-D She looks like a wild cat!

Lightsaber Battle

When the girls ran past me, with their lightsabers...I knew I had to get the camera! :-D

Alex is ready to attack!

I loved this shot! Wouldn't you be afraid if you were Alex!?!?! Not Alex...she stepped back and blocked Sam. Perfect Jedi form from both!!! :-D LOL This is a lot of fun.

It looked like so much fun after a few minutes I got in on the action! :-D The girls love snapping pics even more than I do!

The girls went back to battle when I was too cold for it anymore. Good Times!

Nightengale Family Night

Thursday was family night at the girl's school. The girls decided in the car that Sam would get to go first. The night started by meeting Nana, Grandma, and Grandpa by the two front doors. We walked through the halls noticing pics and art. Then in Sam's room, she and her teacher showed us all around.

This is Samantha's teacher, Mrs. Vasquez.

Sam's classroom is connected to another fourth grade class. The teachers switch rooms and this is Mrs. Peliphien, she teaches Sam's class Social Studies while Sam's teacher teaches the other class Science.

It was Alexandra's turn! Here is Alex and her teacher, Mrs. Nemier. Alex showed all of us around her room. This night was a lot of fun and both girls were thrilled that the grandparents were able to attend! :-D Thanks everyone!
